It is a true joy to welcome you to the website of St. Michaels By-the-Sea.  If you are looking for a church home in the Carlsbad area, we would be honored to have you be a part of our journey in faith. If you are visiting the area, we invite you to worship with us and pray that you find a spiritual refuge and the healing touch of Christ as you are passing through.

St. Michael’s is the oldest church in Carlsbad. The original building, still in daily use, was built in 1894 and reflects a long history in the larger community. But our origin goes back even further as we trace our Anglican heritage back through the Church of England and our ancient, first century Celtic roots, planted upon the rock of our faith, our Lord Jesus Christ.
