Christ Church Fallbrook AltarOn Sunday, April 5, Christ Church Fallbrook held their inaugural service at Living Waters Christian Fellowship with shouts of Psalms and loud Hosannas! In celebration of Palm Sunday, the service began outside the church building with the participants processing into the church, waving palms and following the cross. In addition to celebrating Palm Sunday, members and friends of Christ Church were excited to participate in the first service of this new church entity in Fallbrook.  This celebration marks the beginning of a new chapter for members of what was formerly St. John’s Anglican Church.    Approximately one hundred fifty people were in attendance, worshipping together on what is essentially Christ Church’s birth day!  Local pastors representing Fallbrook’s evangelical community were in attendance as well as many other Anglican priests representing churches throughout San Diego County.   Fr. California Supreme Court Dismisses Petition for Review
 
On Wednesday, March 11, the California Supreme Court dismissed the petition for review that had been filed by the former members of St. John's Episcopal Church in Fallbrook. The Supreme Court remanded the case with instructions for the Fourth District Court of Appeal to republish the opinion it previously had issued in favor of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego and the Episcopalians of St. John's Church. That opinion affirmed the right of the bishop to resolve intracongregational disputes over who is eligible to serve on a church board.
