Off Topic: Susan Boyle Can't Do This

I know, I know, Susan Boyle, SUSAN BOYLE. Enough Already! It's all I hear this week. Besides her now famous youtube video being a JUST A LITTLE BIT over-produced (ya think?), she is after all, just a singer and, let's be honest, not the most attractive one out there.

Now then, if she REALLY had talent, she'd be able to do this.  I admit to getting a bit misty-eyed watching that her video this week, but when I saw this one earlier today, I broke down in tears of joy. (Skip through to where the fun begins, 2 minutes, 30 seconds).   Consider this your reminder to get off the couch now and then and enjoy the life God gave you (obeying all traffic laws, of course).  (read more...)

Video - Way off topic: Wimbledon. Danica Patrick

Hey sports fans.  What a weekend, eh?

1) Thank you Lord for extending the men's singles match yesterday at Wimbledon long enough for those of us on the west coast who attend the late service to get home in time to witness one of the greatest moments in tennis history.  Amen.

2) P.S, thank you Lord for protecting pit crew #9 at Watkins Glen yesterday from Danica Patrick who pulled a Hillary Clinton in pit lane.  Amen.  (read more...)
