Our Prayers Are With You, Barack our President

Every Sunday, the faithful in San Diego's Anglican churches will be praying this or a similar prayer for our new president and our country, from our Book of Common Prayer.  Emphasis mine.

Almighty and everliving God, who in thy holy Word hast
taught us to make prayers, and supplications, and to give
thanks for all men: Receive these our prayers which we offer
unto thy divine Majesty, beseeching thee to inspire
continually the Universal Church with the spirit of truth,
unity, and concord; and grant that all those who do confess
thy holy Name may agree in the truth of thy holy Word, and
live in unity and godly love.

Thanks, Obama, For Supporting Traditional Marriage (and sending like minded folks to the polls)

The New York Times reports on how Obama's traditional principles on marriage and appeal with black voters is a good thing for Proposition 8 supporters and defenders of Biblical marriage.

The thinking is that if more black voters come out this year, they will tend to vote yes on Proposition 8.
