Limited details available at this time. Looks to be near the 805 and Miramar, but I haven't seen any smoke or air response from my downtown office which faces that area...
(CBS/AP) An F-18 military jet crashed in a San Diego neighborhood on Monday, sparking at least one house fire.
It wasn't immediately clear whether anyone was injured, said Maurice Luque, a spokesman for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. Television news footage showed one house and two cars on fire.
Fire crews were at the scene of the crash, which occurred near Interstate 805, reports CBS affiliate KFMB in San Diego.
The plane crashed shortly before noon Monday as it prepared to land at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, said Ian Gregor, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman. The crash occurred two miles from the base.

This beautiful Korean man,
This beautiful Korean man, Dong Yun Yoon, lost his entire family and has already forgiven the pilot who crashed into his home calling him, "One of the treasures of our country." He said he has no hard feelings and asked people to pray for him (the pilot) and his family so that they would not suffer much from this tragic event. Now THAT is how you "wage" reconciliation and forgiveness! He also said he believes his wife and daughters and mother-in-law are in heaven with God. And he has been surrounded by his church family who are doing everything they can to support him during this horrible time. Praise God for this man and his congregation and may God bless them all!
Quite touching. I just
Quite touching. I just watched the video before the CNN vid servers locked up. What a powerful testimony this man has at this moment. God bless him.

I just got around to reading
I just got around to reading yesterday's U/T and the picture on the front of the man and his pastor was at once heartbreaking and breathtaking. I'm sure there are many to whom this kind of reaction is a mystery. Opportunities to explain will come our way and must not be missed.
Well said. I've been
Well said. I've been thinking about this man along the lines of your last sentence myself.
