St Michael's By the Sea in Carlsbad has been working for a long time to get a West Coast version of the famous St. Michael's Conference going (the name connection is coincidental, btw).  They are making a start this year by offering the first-ever, "Minimikes" right here in San Diego.  It's an overnighter and costs only $20.

I wish I were still a teenager.  I'd be all over this like St. George on a dragon.

Why?  The St. Michael’s Conference in August is an incredible spiritual experience.  However, it also requires an incredible commitment at an incredible expense.  minimikes! is an opportunity to experience all the transformational benefits of the August Conference right here in Carlsbad.  It’s a reunion, a retreat, and a spiritual recharge all rolled up into one epic, incense-filled, 24-hour event.

What?  The mission of minimikes! is no different than that of the St. Michael’s Conference.  It is a group of young people and leaders who come together to form a community.  Through worship, discussion, and recreation, the community seeks both a clearer vision of God in Christ, and strength and power to fight evil and serve God.

Who?  Anyone in sixth grade up to age 19 is eligible to participate in minimikes! (It doesn’t matter if you’ve been to the August Conference, you and your friends are invited to minimikes!).

Where?  St. Michael’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Carlsbad, Ca.

When?  5 pm Friday, January 22 through 2 pm Saturday, January 23.  Please arrive at 5 pm or shortly thereafter on Friday for registration; minimikes! will begin promptly at 6 pm.

How?  Easy!  Just fill out this Online Registration, and print and fill out this Medical Release Form.  The cost for minimikes! is a slender $20.
